As the 2004 NFL Draft went into high gear, the league is paid tribute to one of its bravest heroes. Former Cardinals safety Pat Tillman was killed in a firefight while on combat patrol with the Army Rangers in Afghanistan. Saddened by the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks in 2001, Tillman walked away from a lucrative offer from Arizona to join the Army. NFL.com's Vic Carucci writes that Tillman's tragedy put the draft in perspective. www.nfl.com/newsvery sad RIP

I agree it's sad as hell, but i don't think its fair to make a huge ordeal that a pro-footballer in his prime went to battle and was killed when something like 700 other men did the same thng and never got that kind of recognition
