Rap Star Kurupt now known as Young Gotti makes sure that the West Coast continues to stay visible by dropping the explosive new CD 'Same Day, Different Shit' March 7, 2006.
(Los Angeles, California)-December 9th, 2005-West Coast Rap star Kurupt, now known as Young Gotti, drops one of the most universal west coast albums since The Game's Documentary. The highly anticipated and explosive album is entitled 'Same Day Different S#@'! and will be released on March 7, 2006 on Gangsta Advisory Records. This album's title indicates a very metaphorical symbol of how one has to deal with the universal issues: crime, jealousy, money hungry women, and so forth, but the difference is in the action that each unique individual has to decide which fate will they choose. The music fans old and new can expect nothing but universal and heavy hitting lyrics from Kurupt's alter ego Young Gotti. Celeste Wright describes the sneak preview, "Kurupt or Young Gotti has always been universal. He has been a universal artist prior to The Game. But because he was in a group, he never really got the opportunity to really be applauded for his creative and versatile lyrical ability. In 'Same Day, Different S#@!' Kurupt let's everyone know that not only is he back, he is making sure that the West Coast stays very visible by creating a sound that all can listen to. Young Gotti reveals, "My game has stepped up, and I am ripping people's hearts out. I am just as hungry as I was when I first came into Hip Hop. With Daz on the production, and my lyrics, it's a done deal. People can expect nothing less than a classic."
The CD 'Same Day, Different S#@!' has a definite element that can be played in the clubs as well as in the neighborhoods. This CD, although independently released, is expected to do big numbers, as everyone is really anticipating if Kurupt, now known as Young Gotti, still has the ability to deliver razor sharp and fire spitting lyrical content that he is known for. Daz Dillinger, the executive producer on this project reveals his sentiments, "I know that Young Gotti has gotten it. It hasn't left. When I worked with him in the studio session, he was serious, he was hungry, and I think he can give these newer cats in the game a definite run for their money. In fact I think he can shut them down. His CD really shows a stronger, refined, and precise rapper." Dillinger continues, "His lyrics are on point, but his delivery is very commanding now. It's like do or die for him, and you can hear it in his voice."
Kurupt, now known as Young Gotti, can also be expected to launch his own label off of Gangster Advisory Records. This has come to a surprise to a lot of record label homes who wanted Kurupt and the reunion with Daz to be on their label. Young Gotti explains, "I wanted to be at home with Daz. I know that we are going to continue to do executive business decisions that means power moves. Daz and I have already been doing things behind the scenes that indicates we have grown and that we are ready to go to that next level." Gotti continues, "I am ready to not only show and prove who I am, but help develop artists who are just as hungry as me. This album will show everyone that I have not left and missed a beat, in fact my pace is quicker. I still got it."
